Increase profits and reduce loses with an AD plant from Shaw Renewables and BioConstruct. The British government have a longstanding ambition to see 1,000 on-farm AD plants by 2020, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by digesting their slurries and agricultural residues. To encourage the uptake of AD the UK government provide financial incentives to the producers and users of renewable energy - The Feed In Tariffs (FIT) and the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), creating an extra income for your business. Biogas plants harness the power of some of the earth’s most readily available and sustainable commodities – crops, byproducts and waste. Methane is extracted from organic matter. This gas, which would ordinarily be released in to the atmosphere, adding to the green house gases, is now used to create electricity and heating. At the end of the process there is no waste, the product from which the methane was extracted (now called digestate) can be used as super fertiliser, meaning nothing goes to waste. “Biogas is one of the most versatile energy solutions the UK has at it’s disposal. AD is a perfect example of how renewables can fit into, and improve already existing processes.” The REA - REA manifesto Shaw Renewables Ltd. have partnered with Bioconstruct of Germany, who have installed over 240 plants across Europe and manage 18 of their own AD plants, to bring intelligently designed and highly profitable biogas plants to the UK market. www.shawrenewables.co.uk 0151 424 1433
