UAVs are tipped to become an invaluable
tool within the film and broadcasting industries. Our medial panel will take a look
at the impact this technology has had on
the industry so far. Discussion will focus
upon capture possibilities, real-time viewing, low-altitude flying, UAVs versus traditional filming equipment, safety systems
and the future of the industry.
12:00-12.30 Workshop 2: Redbird: UAV
Solutions for Network supervision (BLOS) and Quarry Monitoring
Redbird empowers large industrial companies to optimize their resources and
improve their productivity through the
processing and retrieval of data acquired
by civilian UAVs. Redbird targets three key
markets: Geospatial (construction, mining
and quarrying), Network Supervision (network infrastructures), and Agribusiness
(precision agriculture). In the Network
supervision market, Redbird was the first
French UAV operator authorized for beyond line of sight flights in 2013 and has
been developing a comprehensive network monitoring solution (railway, power
lines, pipelines) including an advanced
vegetation monitoring. In the Geospatial market, backed by the Monnoyeur
group (Caterpillar dealer), Redbird has developed a world-first quarry monitoring
solution which enhances productivity and
safety compliance. This workshop will focus upon the opportunities for using UAVs
within the Geospatial, Infrastructure and
Agribusiness industries.
