LITERALLY a year to the day from my first visit I went back to see Chris Horn and Michael Hirst owners of one of the newest ATV Business in West Yorkshire . H & H Services Holmfirth based at Meltham Mills was started by Chris and Michael who both previously worked for the very successful Turner Brothers ( Huddersfield ) Limited . As the business has grown , they have now taken on full time mechanic Jack Fox who has also come from Turners .

Initially they took on the Honda dealership but decided to move away from Honda to embrace other makes and extend their range of vehicles . They now have the TGB range of quads which have proved enormously popular with farmers due to their very keen pricing , starting at £ 4900 and super reliability . They have been selling TGB now for 10 months . During the spring they had their busiest time and could not get hold of enough .

The TGB range have been out on many on farm demos . Once farmers get to use the TGB range on the farm they are sold on them . Chris and Michael pride themselves on knowing Quad Bikes and ATV ’ s inside out which is why the team at HH are a one

stop shop for all makes of Quad and ATV from , As well as selling the TGB range they service and repair all the major manufacturers given that they are time served technicians with a wealth of experience and Michael being an engine specialist

Another new development this year is the second-hand side , this has also proved immensely popular . They will take any make , completely strip and recondition it before it goes out to a customer . Every part of the vehicle is rigorously checked and replaced if not up to scratch . Chris and Michael fully appreciate that farmers in particular need to be able to jump on and go at any time .

All vehicles coming from HH come with a full guarantee . The £ 2,550 to £ 3,500 price bracket is particularly sought after at the moment . The Quad X accessory range continues to prove both versatile and popular .

With the opportunities for an extended range Chris and Michael have been able to start selling the SMC range of kids quads and buggies , these are hugely versatile and a real pleaser for the very young farmers who love to follow dad onto the moors and fields and hare round the yard .

Chris and Michael have racked up some 000 ’ s of miles delivering new and used quads , accessories , urgent parts and

picking up quads / ATV ’ s for service . They have been as far as Dundee although they prefer to cover Yorkshire and the North West to maintain that higher level of service .

As you would expect in these online times and to cut down some of the mileage , they do they now have a full online parts delivery service , which means they can get parts faster to customers when they need them .

Chris coming from a farming family knows full well farmers Like a one-stop shop for keeping on the move and they have got one at HH . As Chis and Michael are both time-served auto technicians they have a full-service

facility for all 4 x 4 ’ s Land Rovers , pick-ups etc .

Chris and Michael ’ s fresh and keen attitude coupled with a passion for the ATV business has grown along with their success in the past year .

The current situation has not really affected the business apart from adhering to the various guidelines etc , which is great to see . As we all know farming has to keep going no matter what . The team at HH Services will continue to keep everyone on the farm on the move .
