TRAVELLING THE COUNTRY
ONE of Thornton Breakers
technician’s and delivery
driver utilises his time well
travelling the country by
operating stands at Auction
Marts. This allows farmers
to come and chat and see
that Thornton Breakers are
a very different parts sup-
plier with a very high level
of service and customer
commitment. Whether its
Tim or one of the other
Thornton team, you will be
talking to very knowledgea-
ble people who will always
have a solution to your 4 x 4
problem.
Tim has recently been
at Thainstone Auction
Aberdeenshire and at
Penrith. Come along and
see the team at both
Midlands Machinery Show
in November, and YAMS in
February as well as many of
the North’s Auction Marts.
‘ always a
solution to
your 4x4
problem

Success outside
the business
The Jones family, as well as being 80%
of the hard-working team at Thornton
Breakers, continue to have their
own success outside the business.
PETER’S youngest daugh-
ter and most recent
member of the family to
join the business Courtney
is an accomplished horse
rider. May Day & Courtney
was competing at The
Horse of The Year show at
Birmingham NEC placing 4th
in the Coloured non-native
pony of the year class. There
were 20 competitors in the
class, all of them have had
to take 1st place across the
country in other shows to
get there, which means to
get to The Horse Of The Year
Show you really are com-
peting with “the best of the
best”. Courtney qualified at
the Stoneleigh horse show.
Greater efficiency – Connecting with Farmers
We have a collection and fitting available for all major jobs such as Engine, Gearbox, Chasses and Axle replacements.
No upfront costs, or hidden charges. We have our own in-house workshop with 2 full time mechanics.
WE pride ourselves on
keeping the Farming
Community moving with
minimal disruption helped by
our nationwide pick-up and
delivery service.
PARTS - The recently
expanded racking has created
a much larger area to store
the large number of cabs
we always have in stock and
more importantly it vastly
increases our huge amount of
off the shelf parts.
Every vehicle is logged,
stripped and parts stored
in order. When you ring
up for a part now, instead
of checking the yard, the
right part is checked at the
click of a mouse and can
be paid for and despatched
immediately.
Thornton Breakers
currently have thousands
of parts in stock from a
door hinge to full engines,
gearboxes, chassis etc.
Ever keen to support
and help the Farming
Community you will now
see the familiar red and
silver Thornton Breakers
vehicles at many auction
marts across the North
including Bakewell,
Newark, York, Wharfedale,
Selby, Hawes, Leyburn,
Holmfirth, Bentham,
Gisburn, Lancaster,
Skipton, Thirsk, Melton
Mowbray. Farmers can
buy on the day, discuss
their requirements or
just chat to the staff who
are very knowledgeable
and only too happy to
help. Whatever you need
contact Peter and his hard
working team and they
will be able to help you.
