spring barley, winter wheat
and spring oats. All crops go
to feeding the livestock on the
farm that includes sheep and
cattle. He makes haylage and
silage.
‘I get local contractors in for
my arable work as they can
do swiftly what would tak e
me a whole week. I have a
neighbour who looks after all
my combining and we have a
great arrangement as he likes
shooting and I like showing,
so I look after his farm while
he shoots and he does the
same for me while I show the
sheep.’
