farming and sporting enterprises. It is
about protecting the local landscape for
future generations by tackling climate
change and supporting sustainable
farming. We are tackling building renovations
with our new Humberstone Hub
being a prime example, farm diversification,
wildlife habitat enhancement and
peat restoration.’

last spring, and have brought about a
wildlife pond in the corner of a field
that wasn’t doing much otherwise. We
work with the Nidderdale AONB and
now attract many wading birds such as
curlews, oystercatchers and snipes. We
are also working on sphagnum moss and
gripe blocking projects.’
