The Original
Yorkshire Clothing
Company Ltd –
Launches Photo
Competition
WEDNESDAY the 5th June
at the prestigious NSA North
Sheep Show and by kind
permission of British Wool.
MD Howard Scaife, of The
Original Yorkshire Clothing
Company, launched his
latest marketing exercise
on the British Wool stand, a
photo competition that will
appeal to all farmers young
and old.
The search is on for the
cutest picture of young
lambs and a sheepdog –
the dog can be a puppy or
fully grown.
The photos need to be
in closeup as the winners
will get their photo turned
into a unique lining for one
of The Original Yorkshire
Clothing Company’s famous
flat caps and the option of a
waistcoat of the same fabric
complete with colour lining.
They are going to produce
two linings, one with lambs/
sheep and one with sheep
dogs/puppies.
Each lining will be matched
to two of the four fabrics
chosen by the visitors at NSA
North Show, so that will make
four different caps in total.
The caps and waistcoat
will be made from 100% Brit-
ish Wool supplied by British
Wool in Bradford.
Each Cap will have its
own unique badge and gold
certificate number and will
have on the side tab an
image of a lamb.
Farmers who are reg-
istered with British Wool,
members of NSA will get a
special discount code when
buying the cap and waist-
coat. Special discount is also
available to all young farm-
ers, you simply need your
membership number.
All online sales go into
a free draw to enjoy two
nights B&B for two people at
a sheep farm in the UK.
Original Yorkshire Clothing
Company will donate a per-
centage of each sale to the
Rare Breeds Society.
Howard is now involved in
a smallholding rearing Wens-
leydale sheep, furthering his
passion for sheep and the
farming community.
Come and see Howard
Scaife on the Farmers Mart
stand at The Great Yorkshire
Show where he will be
pleased to talk about the
competition and show ex-
amples of the unique caps
and waistcoats.
Judging will take place at
the English National Sheep-
dog Trials, 9th August at My-
erscough college. Judges will
be from NSA, British Wool, a
Young Farmer, Howard Scaife
and Ian Wilkinson owner of
The Farmers Mart.

the competition.
The fabrics for the caps
and waistcoats were cho-
