Carrs Billington Agriculture launches fun competition to support WellChild

IF YOU SEE SOME CRAZY PURPLE monsters appearing in farmers’ fields across the UK this summer, it’ s all because of a new partnership between WellChild and Carrs Billington Agriculture.
WellChild, the national charity for sick children, is delighted to have been the UK charity chosen and to be given the support of Carrs Billington, which supplies agricultural products and services throughout the UK and Scotland.
Carrs Billington, which has a string of stores serving the rural community across Northern England and Scotland, will be donating at least £ 10,000 this year to support WellChild’ s work with seriously ill children and their families. As part of their support they will be distributing the purple silage wrap and netwrap supplied by Zeus Packaging Group in WellChild purple. They will be asking farmers and contractors to show their support by choosing to buy purple.
In addition, Carrs Billington is launching a fun competition to support WellChild. Farmers will be challenged to create eyecatching displays from their purple hay bales. They can customise their bales with special packs provided by Carrs Billington. Farmers taking part will send in photos of their creations to be displayed on the WellChild and Carrs Billington Facebook pages. The winner, whose display is judged
the best, will receive two tickets for the prestigious WellChild Awards 2016 which will take place in London in October. This star studded event, which is attended by a host of celebrities, and often by WellChild Patron HRH Prince Harry, gives awards to inspirational children coping with serious illness, to caring children and to dedicated child health professionals.
Zeus Packaging Group has given Carrs Billington the exclusive distribution rights of their Purple Silagewrap and Purple Netwrap in the UK. This is a part of a global project launched by Zeus to support children’ s charities in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Portugal, New Zealand and Australia. The purple bales dotted in fields around the world will represent the support they are giving to children and young people who need our help.
