From The Editor »»The government’s decision to end new public subsidies for onshore wind farms, and changing planning rules that could make it far harder for new turbines to be built, will mean farmers will no longer have the opportunity to install them on their own farms. Victoria Lancaster of H&H Land & Property says: “The timing has been brought forward a year earlier than April 2017, the date given by the former Coalition, which means that although it will still be possible to put a turbine project in place if it is going into planning this year, as long as it is not appealed – and appeals can take up to a year to reach conclusion.
