Dresser-Solar:
Service and
Expertise in All
Aspects of PV
Installations
Solar Power is now accepted as a
genuine way of reducing energy costs
across all manner of businesses,
Commercial Buildings and homes.
»»Thirsk-based solar PV installer, Dresser-Solar
continues to build on its reputation for quality products
and service that the company believes are already second
to none. They use high performance products with proven
durability and have a team of 15 qualified tradesmen backed
by four full full-time office staff to respond to any requests.
A cross-section of the many installations Dresser’s have
recently carried out include a 10 KW 3 phase installation on a
farm just outside Thirsk, in a bid to reduce electricity running
costs of potato stores and a grading line on site.
A large arable farm near Sedgefield, Co Durham had an 8 KW
system installed to reduce his costs primarily for Grain Drying
but he hopes to see a strong reduction in electricity running
costs for the farm throughout the year.
Middleham Key Centre was built in 1998, serving the
community by providing versatile space for training sessions,
public meetings and private functions. They needed to slash
energy costs in order to safeguard its long term future. Robert
Blackburn was originally the only one on the committee in
favour of the installation but after due discussion they went
ahead and contracted Dresser-Solar to fit 30 KW of German
manufactured panels. Richard said: “The first two quarters
didn’t generate a lot of revenue owing to the weather which
Steve Moon from Dresser’s did explain would be the likely
case.
“We have just received our Quarterly statement to the 31st
of May and the increase is amazing - and we will definitely
achieve - and more than likely exceed the initial predictions
on yield. So the centre will not only heavily reduce costs but
generate significant income from the feed in tariff.”
Other installations set ready to reap the benefits are Worsall
Village Hall, near Yarm, who have had an 8KW System
installed to help them reduce overheads running a busy
community hall.
A large carpet warehouse for a leading floor covering
distributor commissioned Dresser-Solar to install a 10 KW PV
scheme on their Guisborough warehouse in order to reduce
their substantial electricity bills generated by warehouse
lighting.
Further recent installations include a 30 KW scheme on a
new robot parlour near Otley for a private client, a 10 KW
scheme for a Ripon garden centre, a 10 KW installation on
farm buildings near Darlington and a large number of 4 KW
domestic schemes.
Whilst feed in tariff rates continue to drop, so does the cost of
installation meaning anything between 12% and 15% return on
your money can be achieved making solar an environmentally
friendly attractive investment.
