OPEN DAY 2023

January is always a key time in the Ag calendar , particularly where machinery is concerned . For some , the mighty LAMMA show heralds the start of the Ag year , for many , dealer open days are more important as they can speak to manufacturer ’ s experts as well as their local dealer experts . Nowhere is this more prevalent than at the Ripon Farm Services two-day open event every January . It takes place inside the prestigious Yorkshire Event Centre at the Harrogate Showground .

There are lots of events in the pipeline for 2023 so keep an eye on their website for more details .

There was a show programme on the front counter that listed all the exhibitors so it was well worth picking up a copy , not least for all the John Deere and Kramer ranges inside . This year was a first appearance of the new John Deere 9700 forger at the show . A lot of interest was generated by the new 9000 series , it features the latest forage harvesting technology and provides customers with 10 % more productivity , while at the same time consuming 10 % less fuel compared to John Deere ’ s current top of the range machines and aircon . Milwaukee is new to Ripon Farm Services , they had a stand at the show , so it was a good time to sidle along and see as much as possible which most did .
