fayre and lots of it and indeed
this is always the case with ba-
con sandwiches, beef sandwich-
es chips soup, tea coffee etc. The
Ripon Farm open event wouldn’t
be the same without Managing
Director Geoff Brown who is the
face and driving force behind
Ripon Farm Services. Geoff is
one of the busiest people on
the day, making it his priority to
talk to as many customers new
and existing as possible. Geoff
remains as ever hugely knowl-
edgeable and approachable.

Ripon Farm
Services are poised
for yet another
record year
’
Every sales team no matter what
size is only as good as the back up
service behind it, no where is this
more important than at Ripon Farm
Services and to that end a full com-
plement of parts and service spe-
cialists were on hand at the show
to advise and help. This year has
seen a real growth in the proactive
side of servicing. Most machinery
now sold either comes with or can
have the technology installed, this
allows your dealer to monitor your
unit, alert you when service hours
are reached and more importantly
highlight potential problems before
they become serious and cause a
breakdown. This sometimes can
seem like big brother however it
can save extremely valuable time
and money by reacting promptly.
Ripon Farm Services’ success
when I talk both to staff and to Geoff
Brown is all about functioning as a
cohesive, energised team. The team
size now stands at 193 employees.
An event that really rewarded
the Ripon Farm team was winning
the prestigious Stray FM employer
of the year 2018 award, this was
against stiff local opposition. The
winner was decided after exhaus-
tive feedback from both custom-
ers and staff.
Ripon Farm Services are poised
for yet another record year and
this Year will be all the more mo-
mentous when the acquisition of
the RBM group takes place .This is
in the final stages which will mean
both staff and branches will remain
as they are but be under the
banner of Ripon Farm Services and
because of the eastern geography
of RBM there is no crossover so
therefore no need to amalgamate
any depots. This will mean Ripon
Farm Services will cover from Lin-
colnshire right up to Stockton.
We will cover this in more detail
once the deal is complete as
well as a number of further open
events in 2019.
