FARM NEWS 17 • FEB/MAR 2019 THE NEXT CHAPTER The 1st August 2018 heralded the next chapter in the evolution of Yorkshire Generators. Over the past 10 Years Richard Ogden and Steven Dresser have seen their business mature into a major player in the Diesel Generator market. In January 2018 with the expiry of their lease at Boroughbridge looming both Richard and Steven’s desire was to acquire their own premises for future expansion. • Generator Sales & Hire • Event Power • Lighting Towers • Bunded Fuel Tanks • Fuel Management • Control & Distribution Equipment • Installation • Service & Maintenance • Alternator Rewinds AS luck would have it a former mushroom farm in Wath, North Yorkshire became available for sale. Given its location and the fact that buildings were already in situ, this was an ideal opportunity for the York- shire Generators expansion plan. The site had been vacant for over two years so the property was in a very dilap- idated state of repair, however Richard and Steven set on straight away to refur- bish the original buildings including the erection of security fencing, CCTV mon- itoring equipment and remote activating security barriers. There are also future plans for a new stand-alone office building to cater for further growth. With works now complete Yorkshire Generators have a much stronger capabili- ty to drive the business forward whilst con- tinuing to maintain their fleet of equipment to the highest standards and respond to customers’ needs immediately.
