The farm runs to around 200 acres. Simon has a share farming arrangement and another arrangement with two other neighbouring farmers who all have around the same amount of land. Each has his own specific farm machinery that is then shared across the three farms when needed. Boon Woods Farm is home to around 1200 pigs on bed and breakfast with a further 2500 elsewhere. The cropping on the farm is Sundance seed wheat, winter linseed, seed potatoes and oats. Simon had an agricultural contracting business until eight years ago.
