Nottinghamshire’s
annual show

down to one of
Nottinghamshire’s popular
annual highlights which
will see more than 20,000
people descend on Newark
Showground in May.
The Nottinghamshire
County Show, with extreme
sports, live music, urban
free runners, cookery
demonstrations and a field
gun display, is set to be a
bumper year for visitors.
Jayne Olney, show
manager, said preparations
are well underway and
organisers are looking
forward to welcoming a varied
mix of exhibitors, attractions
and showcasing all that
Nottinghamshire has to offer.
“We have been busy
making sure everything
runs like clockwork on the
day for the thousands of
visitors.There really will be
something for everyone it’s the first year we have
secured the free runners
which is high octane
entertainment, we’re working
on a new treasure trail for the
children and many eclectic
music performances to
entertain the crowds.
“Come rain or shine, the
show promises a full day of
things to see and do thanks to
our mix of indoor and outdoor
events.”
The show will be held on 14
&15 May and new this year will
be a “Notts On Show” area
in the George Stephenson
Exhibition Hall, a music
marquee, fun treasure activity
trails for children and more.
