The plan is to increase the stock whilst still taking care of the environment . When the stewardship is finished in order for the farm to be fully viable , not only does the stock level need to be higher , but they definitely need to acquire more land . Currently they have 150 acres , with further rented grazing on Cockfield Fell .
One part of farm life that both Helen and Judith enjoy is going to the agricultural shows . This has sadly been curtailed this year . However , now we see what is hoped to be a return to normality in the spring , these two hard-working ladies can get back to the all-important social aspect of going to shows and in Helen ’ s case , showing her animals that she has put so much work into . Indeed , this year , Helen was due to do be one of the judges for Leicester ’ s up at Hexham .
