Chris Berry talks with John Aynsley farm manager at Skelton Farming

STABILISER cows are fast earning a tremendous reputation and turning heads of those who believe in beef production rather than showing cattle. They were the breed that John Aynsley has looked to since taking over as farm manager of 3250 acres at Skelton Farming Ltd., part of the Skelton & Gilling Estates from his base at Low House Farm, Stanghow in Lingdale.

John moved close to industrial Teesside in North Yorkshire from the peaceful

Coquet Valley in Northumberland where he and his wife Anne had a mixed farm of 500 acres.
