SULKY UK has launched a hydraulically-driven self-winding rolling cover for its X40 + and X50 + fertiliser spreaderswhich simplifies loading operations; and a hydraulically operated border deflector that gives added protection to field margins.

THIS LATEST EQUIPMENT WAS unveiled at CropTec in November and provides options to enhance further the performance of Sulky’ s X40 + and X50 + spreader ranges, and make life easier for operators.

The new hydraulically-driven selfwinding rolling cover can be operated manually as well as remotely from the tractor cab, simplifying loading operations which is particularly useful when working without assistance.

The half-moon shape of the cover sheds water effectively. It winds from the centre, making the underside of the cover and therefore the hopper, less likely to be contaminated with water, mud other debris. When fully open the cover rolls back to give maximum space

‘ enhance further the performance of Sulky’ s X40 + and X50 + spreader ranges, and make life easier for operators’ for loading. A centralised lock on the handle-side makes it simple to secure the cover.

The cover is available as an option on all new X40 + and X50 + spreaders and can be retro-fitted to existing models.

Additionally, Sulky has launched a central, hydraulically-operated border deflector which supports spreading from the very edge of the field. The new deflector improves border-controlled spreading with the flow shutter closed on the border side, and enhances Sulky’ s TRIBORD 3D border device which allows remote changes to fertiliser rates when spreading up to and onto headlands. The new optional border deflector will be available on new X40 + and X50 + spreaders.
