Mark and Sarah want to breed and sell the best Pedigree Limousin bulls in the country and build their herd up to round the 30 mark . They have just bought the majestic Romford Jess for 7000 guineas and plan to flush her through .
However , this hardworking farming duo have already achieved considerable success .
At the National Limousin Show this year Supreme Title went to their black beauty who was bred at John White from Rigg Farm Middleton-in-Teesdale who was sired by Keskadale Apollo Which was bred by mark and his father Keith at the family farm up in Cumbria . Something to be very proud of as the show only takes place every five years . Competition was very stiff with a lot of high quality entrants .
Red Hot Honey ( Limousin cross heifer ) was supreme beef champion at the English Winter Fair at Stafford in 2015 . Mark and Sarah bought her from Kevin Sparke in Hexham and what makes Mark particularly proud was that he and his father bred her very impressive sire , Keskadale Eyeful . Another
superb animal , she has also won many championships during the summer of 2016 .
Mark and Sarah ’ s passion for their herd shines through when you talk to them , they clearly know exactly what they want and have great experience and knowledge to draw on .
Next year will be even busier for them as they are getting married next September and in true dedicated farming tradition they have timed the wedding to fit in around calving time ! The ceremony will be at the picturesque Stables at Cross Butts near Whitby . I asked them about honeymoon and holidays in general to which Sarah replied “ Shows are our Holidays ”. Says it all really ”
With this level of dedication and passion , Harryman & Warriner and the Hotshot herd are destined for great things and we wish them well for the future .
