Linda Davy Branch Manager Linda started her insurance career in 1987 after leaving university and has worked in the agricultural broking and claims environments ever since. Linda lives close to the Ripon office and enjoys dog training and rescue, long distance running and raising funds for charity in her spare time. Ed Davey On Farm Adviser Mick Hodgson On Farm Adviser Ed lives with his wife and young children in North Lincolnshire and farms in partnership with his family. Educated in Yorkshire and qualified at Harper Adams University his passion for farming has fuelled a keen and active interest in the industry throughout his career. Mick lives with his wife in Weardale. They have two sons who have both left the nest. Mick started his career within the insurance indusry back in 1980. Outside of work Mick enjoys DIY, landscaping, walking and mountain biking. James Fisher Account Handler Colette Cowley Account Handler James started his farm insurance career in 2001. Married with a young family, James’ eldest son is fascinated with tractors and farm machinery. James grew up in a small rural village called Alne, he then spent most of his life in Harrogate and is now back to enjoying rural life again. James is a huge car enthusiast. Formally from Wensleydale, Colette now lives in Ripon. She studies Law at the University of Derby but realised the city wasn’t for her and returned to the Dale where she started her career in insurance. Colette moved to Farmers & Mercantile in 2014 and has continued her training within the industry. Sarah Longster Account Handler Sarah is a farmers daughter, brought up on a mixed farm. Starting her insurance career in 1999 which lead to specialising in farm insurance. Sarah used to be an active member of Boroughbridge YFC. Sarah lives with her daughter near Pateley Bridge in the Yorkshire Dales. She spends her spare time with her partner on his beef and sheep farm. Deborah Schofield On Farm Adviser Deborah’s interest in farming started at a young age, being born into a farming family of dairy, livestock and arable. Deborah began her insurance career at the age of 18. With a busy working life, Deborah still finds time to work on the farm and attend cattle marts with her dad. Her other passion is running and hopes to complete a marathon in 2016. Lisa Tippen Account Handler Lisa is a born and bred Yorkshire lass. Lisa has worked within the insurance industry since 2007. From a young age Lisa has always had a fascination with farming and the profession.
