run the farm since 1984. It
runs to around 260 acres,
which includes arable crops
and they use agricultural

‘We started out buying
three cows. Before then
we had been rearing calves
commercially and attending
the local marts at Stokesley
and Guisborough, both of
which are sadly no longer with
us.’

We had two bull calves. At
our first show in Carlisle we
had a champion and reserve
and we were on our way.’
