MAYOR WELCOMES BRITISH
LIMOUSIN TO LEAMINGTON
The British Limousin Cattle Society (BLCS) has formally opened
its new offices and headquarters in Royal Leamington Spa,
Warwickshire with a welcome from the Mayor, Cllr Judith Clarke.
Purchased as a freehold property, the
Society actually moved to Concorde
House, 24 Warwick New Road, Royal
Leamington Spa, in September and
following some 30 years of tenancy
at its Stoneleigh Park office, situated
within the RASE Showground.
The Stoneleigh office had been purposebuilt for the Society in 1983 and was duly
opened at that time by Princess Alice.
Concorde House is a three-storey
period building refurbished in 2005 and
comprises of over 5,200 sq ft.
and conferencing facilities for local and
agricultural businesses.
Royal Leamington Spa is a central
location with easy access to the M42,
M40 and M6 motorways, and Birmingham
and Coventry airports within 30 minutes
and 10 minutes respectively with
Birmingham and Leamington train stations
within similar access times.

reveals ‘Rural Oscars’
2013 regional finalists
The regional finalists in the 2013
Countryside Alliance Awards (aka the
Rural Oscars) have been announced,
with farm shops, butchers, pubs and
village shops vying for a regional
title and the chance to go forward to
represent their region at the British
Final.
The Awards, now in their ninth year, run
across four categories: Local Food; Village
Shop/ Post Office; Butcher and Start-up.
Starting regionally across nine regions, a
regional winner in each category will now
be selected to go on to the British final, to
be held at Westminster in April 2014.
