EVERY year , the Bainbridge stand has something a little different on show , which some people have begun to expect to see every year and look forward to seeing what the next surprise will be ! In previous years they have had a penny farthing made from feeder parts , a reliant robin ‘ Bainbridge ’ style , a huge shopping basket , a feeder painted like a cow …. The list could go on ! If you visited the stand this year you will of , come across an old ariel photograph of the Great Yorkshire Show from the 15th of July 1970 taken by C H Wood of Bradford . A lot of time was spent researching the photograph of which details such as attendance that year and the cost |
of tickets which can be found on the Bainbridge Engineering website , along with previous show projects . This is interesting to compare to today ’ s figures . If you visit Bainbridge Engineering in Cold Kirby , in the office you will see the photograph takes |
pride and place on the wall for people to have a look at .
Months of work , behind the scenes goes into the show before the actual show takes place , from the advertising to fabricating the equipment . Everything you see on the stand
|
has been made by hand which as you can imagine takes time . Displayed across the stand were Bainbridge buckets to bale spikes to rotary sweepers . Buckets are always extremely popular among farmers , as well as their Bainbridge Rotary Sweepers |
– which are also known as a ‘ BRS ’ are also a very popular option and are available in 3 different sizes to suit your buckets width . Often , customers purchase a bucket and a BRS as a complete unit . A very true quote displayed at the show on a sign was “ After the sweetness of low prices wears off , the bitterness off poor quality remains ”. This is very true ; after all , you can ’ t put a price on quality .
As always , Bainbridge Engineering appreciate everyone who came on to the stand to enquire , place an order or just came to have a look around . Thank you for your continued support and we are looking forward to the Great Yorkshire Show 2023 already !
