Celebs On The Farm TV judge Farmer Chris releases ‘ Big Tales from my Little Farm ’
Chris Jeffery aka Farmer Chris from C5 ’ s Celebs On the Farm has followed up his acclaimed autobiography Farming Celebs & Plum Pudding Pigs released in 2021 with his second book Big Tales from my Little Farm this year .
THE newly released book concentrates on Farmer Chris ’ and his wife Kate ’ s life on their rare breeds farm at Spring View on Thornton on the Hill near Easingwold where they have a herd of Whitebred Shorthorn cattle , a flock of Border Leicester sheep and Oxford Sandy & Black pigs .
It is a book of laugh-out-loud humour , cry-out-loud despair and varying degrees of astonishment , frustration , achievement and disbelief as Chris looks on as a massive cattle feeding ring falls off the back of his tractor and trailer as he is going uphill ; as his steering fails on a country lane ; his livestock take on the role of escapees ; his cattle win major prizes ; his sow has a litter of just one ; and his Jack Russell
terrier consumes a whole Terry ’ s Chocolate Orange .
Chris says : “ I have been very lucky to have enjoyed my own small modicum of fame through my TV appearances in The
Yorkshire Vet and Celebs on the Farm but it is my farm , my wife and my animals that mean more to me than anything .
“ I hope everyone who reads Big Tales from my Little Farm will have some laughs along the way . I ’ m embarrassed about some things , I often wonder about my sanity , and Kate regularly despairs with me I know , but I am who I am , I ’ m Farmer Chris . I ’ m a farmer and there are some big tales to tell .
