LEADING East Yorkshire business J . R . Rix & Sons reaffirmed its commitment to the Driffield Agricultural Society by attending the town ’ s much-loved agricultural show on 21th / 22st July .

Duncan Lambert said he was delighted that we were able to get back to having the Driffield Show .

The event on both days was blessed with gorgeous sunshine . The flags were flying , livestock shows came back to the main show ring together with motorcycle stunt displays . There were … Food stalls , a plethora of watering holes , children ’ s entertainments stalls and every stand you could think off which supports the local farming industry . Over 14,000 people attended the event .

Duncan said it was great to be able to meet with both domestic and farming customers . Even though the numbers were restricted this year we still got to speak with many of the local businesses . We felt that it was important to continue

to support the event by creating an exhibit fit for the time that were in .

On the stand we featured a HVO Exhibit which featured our new branded tanker . See insert .

HVO – which is a renewable liquid fuel alternative to existing diesel / gas oil .

HVO Renewable Diesel is a fossil-free diesel product made of 100 % renewable raw materials , which does not release any new carbon dioxide into the atmosphere . HVO is a greener renewable fuel with a chemical structure almost identical to regular diesel and offers a net

greenhouse gas CO2 reduction of up to 90 %.

Duncan Lambert said “ we know that this is a viable alternative , and we want the public to get behind this new fuel by www . futurereadyfuel . info .”

Next year we will hopefully , conditions permitting , get back to giving the visitors to our stand a great social place to meet , somewhere to sit down and enjoy one of our famous scones and place to be entertained and have some fun .

The pledge to continue supporting the show follows a five-year sponsorship deal signed by the family business late last year to retain naming rights for the Rix Pavilion and for the Rix logo to appear on all Driffield Showground signage .

He said : “ Rix has been serving farmers and rural communities in East Yorkshire for more than 100 years , and we will continue to provide heating oil , fuels , lubricants , additives , AdBlue , tanks and Heating Services to all the local farming communities .”
