Introducing AHDB technical support in the northern region
EMILY and Sam are new to the northern region and are looking forward to meeting and connecting with producers and primary accounts across the region over the autumn months . Working alongside one another , Emily will focus on delivering activity as part of AHDB ’ s farm excellence programme , while Sam will be the key contact for the region ’ s primary account businesses .
Sam Bradley Sam studied agriculture at Harper Adams University and joined BPEX / AHDB Pork in 2012 . Her initial role focused on skills development , covering pork training programmes and the development of Pig Pro ( CPD programme ). In 2019 , Sam moved to her current KE relationship manager

role , and is responsible for primary accounts and stakeholders in the northern region .
Emily Boyce
Emily ’ s passion for farming started at school , and quickly centred around pigs while studying agriculture at Hartpury College . After college , Emily spent time working on both pig and dairy farms in the UK . Wishing to broaden her experience , Emily travelled to Nebraska , USA , to work on a 7,000-sow herd . On

her return , she worked at Countrywide Farmers as a Suitably Qualified Person ( SQP ), achieving Companion SQP of the year in 2015 .
In 2018 , Emily joined AHDB as Skills Development Officer ( Pork ), continuing her passion of working in the pig industry and in October 2020 , will take up the role of KE manager for the North .
