With the growth of the business has also
come an expanding team.
‘We are always on the search for valua-
ble members,’ says Ryan.
‘We pride ourselves on not having for-
gotten our roots. We are farmers ourselves
and we are always at livestock markets
buying stock and talking with farmers. We
are always looking for the best stock. We
are focussed on top end meat quality,
supplying everyone from the village
tearoom through to Michelin 2-star chefs.
Every week we have visits from leading
chefs up and down the country.’
Rob and Jo, and Ryan and Kate, Ryan’s
wife, are all involved with R&J Butchers.
Kate joined the family business five years
ago and as part of her business develop-
ment role recently introduced R&J going
‘online’.
‘We now supply the incredible meat
we offer direct to household doorsteps
throughout the country,’ says Ryan. ‘This
is a great additional arm to our business
and we have seen a huge increase in the
general public paying a keen interest
in the availability of the food they eat

Rob and Ryan continue to follow the
