Middleham Key Centre
Solar Power is now accepted
as a genuine way of reducing
energy costs across all
buildings and homes
»»The Solar Installation
side of the business continues
to grow built on its reputation
for quality products. They use
high performance products
with proven durability backed
by a superb installation team
and dedicated office staff to
respond to any requests.
A couple of examples of the
many installations Dresser’s
have recently carried out
include a large arable farm
near Sedgefield, Co Durham
who have had an 8 KW system
installed to reduce their costs
primarily for Grain Drying but they
hope to see a strong reduction
in electricity running costs for the
farm throughout the year.
Another example is Middleham
Key Centre which was built in
1998, serving the community
by providing versatile space
for training sessions, public
meetings and private functions.
They needed to slash energy
costs in order to safeguard
its long term future. Robert
Blackburn was originally the only
one on the committee in favour
of the installation but after due
discussion they went ahead and
contracted Dresser-Solar to fit
30 KW of German manufactured
panels. Richard said: “The first
two quarters didn’t generate
a lot of revenue owing to the
weather which Steve Moon from
Dresser’s did explain would be
the likely case.
“We have just received our
Quarterly statement to the
31st of May and the increase is
amazing - and we will definitely
achieve - and more than likely
exceed the initial predictions
on yield. So the centre will not
only heavily reduce costs but
generate significant income
from the feed in tariff.”
Whilst feed in tariff rates
continue to drop, so does the
cost of installation meaning
anything between 12% and
15% return on your money
can be achieved making solar
an environmentally friendly
attractive investment.
