Something that happens every year
and is peculiar to Rickerby, is that they
have a commemorative toy model made
for the show. This years was a scorpion
telehandler in the black 140 year com-
memorative livery. Would you believe it,
all 80 were sold by 10.30 am Wednesday,
and they are so sought after that already
by Thursday morning some were chang-
ing hands at well over £100.
2020 is already shaping up well and,
as ever, neither Rickerby or Martyn
stands still, he is already planning next
year’s show and has already ordered
the commemorative models. Rickerby
itself will see its brand-new purpose-built
depot open in South Lancashire - watch
this space! And the Cornhill depot will
celebrate 25 years.
The success just keeps on rolling and long
