The whole day was well organised with representatives from all the leading franchises including Fendt, Opico, Maschio, Krone, Gregoire Besson, Schaffer, Wox agri. The yard area was well set out with all manner of equipment and also a demonstration area at the back for the impressive Schaffer Loaders.
Peter his wife & daughter were on good form along with the loyal Brockhills staff. Tea, coffee and biscuits were in

plentiful supply and as well as an array of FENDTS and the workshop was converted into a veritable Farmers’ Forum. Then at lunchtime- much to the delight of all concerned- the piece de resistance ….. the hog roast appeared. By this time both yard and workshop were pretty full making it a very successful open day. Peter was as busy as ever keen to talk and engage with as many customers new and old as possible. |
I snatched a few minutes with Peter to ask about the future.
He told me:“ This is the future, I only intended to do this once and do it right. We have the capability to accommodate current machines and we are now big enough to accommodate machinery as it continues to grow in size and complexity. We have just the right number of quality franchises to serve all our farmers’ needs. The shift has now moved away from cheaper

machines that don’ t last long, to it really being a question of better quality, though still at a keen price along with the right maintenance which means machines either stay much longer or have their secondhand value preserved.”
Peter is passionate about his business and the team he has around him. Brockhills byword is service and support with a smile and on this they will continue to maintain, cherish and build their customer base.
