As a celebration of the 40 years a thank you to their loyal
customers and also to attract prospective new customers Northfield had their open day on the 13th April.“ A lot of preparation went into this” said Richard. It was well supported by all their franchises, The Day seemed to be a great success, by mid afternoon the converted workshop and yard area was filling up more and more. Farmers were enjoying
talking to manufacturers and salesmen alike spurred on by the glorious weather and great Northfield hospitality in the shape of a wonderful hog roast, free bar, Teas, coffees and savouries. Around 700 people attended, the Hog roast was a winner as five! whole pigs were consumed.
Forty years on and George has never taken the plunge to
open up a second branch. They have been approached but both George and Richard are happy with what they have.
“ We considered a second branch in Driffield but it’ s not really for us. You have to be in control of your own ship and if you put a manager in they would never do it the same as you would yourself. We’ d also have to do more than twice
