FOR BATTERY
STORAGE
Steven Dresser believes battery storage
to be one of the best ways to improve your
return on investment and utilise surplus
power produced by Solar Panels. You can
store the power you don’t use and consume
it when required, either in daylight hours or
in darkness when your Solar Panels have
shut down for the day. Modern GEL storage
Batteries are dropping in price making
storage batteries an attractive option.

Solar still represents
significant savings
»»THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT CUTS
in feed in Tariffs for Solar mean Farmers
are looking to other areas to help
manage their return on investment as
well as their Carbon foot print. High
energy users are also looking to claim
relief on the Climate Change Levy which
has been in force since 2000.
Despite the reduction in feed in tariffs
Solar Power is still a big energy saver,
just a slightly longer pay back period.
The Pig and Poultry sector benefits the
most as Installations between 10KW and
50Kw represent the most attractive cost
savings and highest feed in tariff rates. The
modern Farmer really needs to consider
installing a Solar system as part of the
Farm’s future proofing strategy.
With Dresser Solar’s years of experience
they are able to advise all sectors of the
Farming community with many working
examples of their previous installations to
base real return figures on.
LED Lighting
- significant
cost savings
and reduced
carbon
footprint
Since the reduction in feed in tariffs
Steven Dresser has been involved in more
and more LED lighting installations in a bid
to reduce energy costs. Many Farmers are
still unaware of the significant cost savings
that may be achieved by replacing existing
Lights and fittings with LED units. Some of
the biggest savings in pig units have been
proven to be up to 50%! However all Farms
should consider looking into LED in order
to reduce electricity costs. Another area
of agriculture is the Dairy sector which has
seen Milk yields increase by up to 6% after
the installation of certain LED lighting.
For greater energy efficiency and reducing
your Carbon Footprint please contact Steven
Dresser who is more than happy to come
and discuss your requirements.
