Veterinary Group, which last
year celebrated its 70th year,
and discovered why this practice
continues to thrive.

Bishopton has flourished to
become one of the North’s
leading veterinary groups.

The main practice and hospital
relocated to the peaceful haven
of Mill Farm in 1993 on the
edge of Ripon with surgeries in
Pateley Bridge and Easingwold
and farm collection centres
in Northallerton, Leyburn and
York, all with working vets on
site.
The whole group now has
27 vets. “What this now allows
us to do,” Phil explained, “is to
have vets specialising in every
aspect of the business.”
They have attracted farm
vets who want to focus in
particular areas – Phil, for
example, concentrates on
cattle herd health, nutrition and
lameness. Each vet focuses
on their particular area and
