FIRST OPEN
DAY A SUCCESS
FOR BARLOW’S
OF HENBURY
27th March saw the
very first open day for
Barlows’s of Henbury.
IAN WILKINSON joined
the visitors attending the
event.
It was clear from arriving that
James and the whole team at
Barlow’s had worked very hard
in setting up the yard and the
surrounding fields up to ensure
the first Open Day was as good
as it could be.
Fortunately, the weather was
kind for most of the day with
just the occasional shower.
James said he was very pleased
with the day’s attendance, more
than 300 people on the day
but thankfully only 40 at any
one time, which meant he and
his team were able to devote
full attention to customers and strike those all-important
deals.
Keen support was also on
hand from all his manufacturers
which really helped the event
and negotiations go well.
Customers were able to
have a full tour of Barlow’s
extensive premises and view
for themselves the company’s

excellent workshop facilities and
vast stores department.
Refreshments and snacks
were welcomed by visitors to
keep them going throughout the
busy day.
James always likes to have
something a little different on
hand and he certainly didn’t
disappoint on this occasion.
There is always a lot of interest
in classic tractors and the ones
on display included many from
his own ZETOR collection and
the original fully-restored 1939
ALLIS CHALMERS tractor.
Meanwhile, away his herd of
llamas were contentedly grazing
next to the car park!
The excellent organisation and
friendly buzz from James and his
team was their way of saying
thank you to their loyal, regular
customers as well as providing
an enthusiastic welcome to new
ones.
Clearly, this is a farming
business that knows its
business and firmly believes
in delivering the very best
in service and value to its
customers.
