To the eight Puma CVX models, which range from the 131hp 130 CVX which delivers a maximum of 171hp with Power Management to the 228hp Puma 230 CVX with up to 269hp, Case IH has recently added a host of new Maxxum CVX and Magnum CVX models from 110hp to over 400hp. The three Maxxum CVX EP tractors are the first fourcylinder Case IH models to incorporate this novel transmission. Versatile and cost-effective, the Maxxum 110 CVX EP, Maxxum 120 CVX EP and Maxxum 130 CVX EP are rated at 110hp, 121hp and 131hp respectively but with the aid of ‘Power Management’ deliver up to 32hp more during transport, hydraulic and PTO applications. There are now five Case IH Magnum CVX models, with rated power outputs from 260hp to 370hp. The most powerful Case IH rigid-chassis tractor, the Magnum 370 CVX which delivers up to 417hp with Power Management, incorporates a four-range CVX transmission which enables the tractor to move seamlessly from standstill to its maximum speed of 50kph. An ‘Active Stop’ function provides additional control and enables hillside stops without applying the brakes. Power is provided by a highly-efficient 8.7 litre Case IH FPT engine which produces its rated power at just 2000 rpm and peak torque of 1806Nm between 1400rpm and 1600 rpm. An engine brake is available for heavy transport applications. This flagship model incorporates a new, larger 5” Heavy Duty Rear Axle, longer wheelbase, larger-diameter front and rear tyres, together with a new front axle which is producded in-house by Case IH and improves suspended load capacity, ride, handling and traction. FURTHER IMPROVEMENT FOR FARMALL RANGE The Case IH Farmall range, which starts with the twowheel-drive 55hp Farmall 55A, includes the Farmall C models from 55hp to 75hp, the versatile, easy to operate Farmall A from 65hp to 113hp, is topped by the Farmall U and U Pro models from 99hp to 114hp. The latest development is the option of cab suspension on 2014 Farmall U Pro models, which comprise the four-wheel-drive 99hp Farmall 95U Pro, 107hp Farmall 105U Pro and 114hp Farmall 115U Pro.
