THE RICKERBY SHOW Rickerby does it again – and in style 5th and 6th March were clearly important dates in many northern diaries. Once again the annual Rickerby show attracted 4,500 visitors across the two days. The whole event is well orchestrated, designed and run by Rickerby’s West area director, Martyn Henderson supported by 130 staff from across all Rickerby’s 10 depots – under the watchful eye of Chairman Paddy Rickerby. There is always a happy ‘buzz’ around this team who clearly enjoy what they do so well. “This is a massive team effort,” said Martyn, “and it is also a big thank you to all the support we continue to receive from our manufacturers.” One of the many features of the Rickerby show is the selection of bespoke toys that are made every year. Amazingly popular - as they all sold out by teatime on the first day - with some of them appearing on eBay for more than £400! Established in 1880, Rickerby Ltd is still a familyowned business supplying a range of quality agricultural and horticultural machinery. The business is built on quality products with an excellent parts and service backup. Their experienced and loyal staff are always on hand to help farmers, contractors and horticultural customers with all their requirements. Once again, the oldest member of the Rickerby team was in attendance. In his 90s now, Doug Rickerby is as keen as ever to join in on the day. The event is an enjoyable experience for everyone. In addition to all the outside area, there is more than a football pitch of area under cover, so plenty going on throughout the show.
