for the first time in the show’s
history there will be classes
for British White cattle, one of
the UK’s oldest breeds which
is listed on the Watchlist of
the Rare Breed Survival Trust.
Also new to the event are
competitions for female sheep
shearers.

The fashion shows held
four times daily in the Skipton
Building Society Pavilion,
are always popular, featuring
collections from national high
street names as well as from up
and coming designers from the
region’s colleges.
In the Main Ring, Lorenzo, the
equestrian dynamo, will entertain
the crowds each day and the
“pomp and circumstance” will
be provided by the Yorkshire
Volunteers Band.
