Are you up for one more April challenge ? Come to W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park and try your skills at our camo egg scavenger hunt ! We have hidden camouflaged eggs along our trails , and each egg contains a clue to the answers on our scavenger hunt list . If you can find all the correct answers , you can earn a small prize ! No Easter baskets needed . This is an outdoor egg hunt , so be sure to dress for the weather . Meet in the central parking area .

Celebrate National Rails to Trails Day on the Vandalia Trail ! Start your morning with Kevin Duitsman of Ride On Bicycle Repair LLC , located in Pittsboro . He ’ ll guide you through important steps to prepare your bike for summer riding , including a review of bike safety . Feel free to bring your bicycle to follow along with Kevin ’ s presentation , and he ’ ll provide basic tools for you to borrow onsite to do your own basic tuning-up . Then once your bike is ready to go , you can take off from the Amo Trailhead for a ride !

Ewwwwwww ! Slime is slippery , sticky , and pretty disgusting ! Bleurgh ! But slime is actually very useful for animals such as salamanders and frogs . These amphibians want to keep their skin moist and slimy because they breathe through their skin and the slime protects them from bacteria and fungus ! You ’ ll need a critter case for the catch and release amphibian hunt . And then make your own slime to take home !
