Pennsylvania has Punxsutawney Phil , but did you know our parks have their own groundhogs ? We don ’ t have them named , but we have many who live in the parks . Join a naturalist as we go on a search for groundhogs ! We ’ ll discuss their habits and learn about the science of the groundhog seeing its shadow .

Take part in a super fun STEAM activity using recycled materials ! Kids will receive a bag of mystery items and then use those materials to complete a design challenge . Your challenge might be one of these : “ You are trying to befriend a very shy robot – design a gift that you know it will love ” or “ You are pet sitting a goldfish but he really misses his owner – design something to cheer him up .” Are you up for the task ? This project can be completed at the McCloud Nature Center or at home .

A report came into the McCloud Critter Police HQ from Mr . and Mrs . Fox that their kit Venus did not come home for dinner ! According to Mr . Fox , she was last seen playing with Mr . Raccoon ’ s son Huey . Mr . and Mrs . Fox are urging anyone that has any information on the whereabouts of their little girl to please come forward . The McCloud Critter Police are employing a new missing critters team . Meet us at the McCloud Police HQ ( the Nature Center ) to help us find this missing fox kit ! We will be providing sweet treats for our sweet detectives !
