Tadpole Time
Young children are naturally curious ! Encourage their curiosity through fun and interactive introductions to nature in our Tadpole Time programs ! Each month will focus on a different topic and feature native animals , stories , crafts , nature exploration , and ideas for continuing exploration at home !
Recommended for ages 2-5 years old with parent / guardian ( older siblings ages 6-7 are welcome to register also if they want to participate ).

Do you know how fast a bird ’ s heart beats per minute ? Or what kind of animal raises their tail in fear ? We ’ ll get our heart rates up while imitating animal behaviors . Bring your tadpole ’ s love of nature to the park to celebrate surviving the cold winter months .

Where are the plant roots ? UNDER the soil . Where is the tree canopy ? ABOVE our heads . Where do fish swim ? IN the water . Spend the morning exploring about how various micro-habitats surround us , and sometimes we are BETWEEN them . We ’ ll investigate UNDER rocks , AMONG the leaf litter , and maybe even IN the creek water . You won ’ t know what we ’ ll find unless you join us for a morning of adventure .

THURSDAY , APRIL 20 AT 10 AM McCloud Nature Park You may see the green in the tree leaves or the white in the flowers blooming , but do you see the red in the turtle ’ s eyes ? How do animals use color in their lives ? The sun is shining , and the flowers are blooming . Spend the morning admiring all shades of life at the park .
