Intro to Archery Saturday , April 2 • 2 p . m . W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park
For all the new archers out there , this is the perfect way to experience archery . A National Archery in the Schools Program ( NASP ) certified naturalist will guide you through the fun of picking up a bow for the first time ( or in a long time ), and at the end of the program , you ’ ll leave with the confidence of having a well-rounded introduction to one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation . This program is designed to give you a fun hands-on archery experience . All equipment will be provided . Participants must be able to pull a 10-pound string back . Meet at Bluegill Shelter .

How to Build a Park Saturday , April 9 • 10 a . m . McCloud Nature Park
Building a park is a complex but rewarding challenge . Learn about what went into building McCloud Nature Park , Sodalis Nature Park , and W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park from members of our maintenance crew . You might think that our maintenance crew simply mows grass all day , but that couldn ’ t be further from the truth ! You ’ ll discover a wide range of skills , backgrounds , and talents that our crew possesses to both build and maintain a park . Then put your construction hats on because you will be designing your own park !
Could parks and recreation be a career option for you ? This program is designed to provide a no-pressure look into parks and recreation careers for teenagers who are contemplating their futures after high school . The program lasts from 10 a . m . to 2 p . m . and participants will be provided lunch .

Gibbs Memorial Park on the first and third Tuesdays of the month to enjoy a game and some fresh air with you ! He ’ ll have a few tabletop games provided by White Flag Games with him for you to try , and you ’ re also welcome to bring your own favorite family-friendly game to play !

We have hidden camouflaged eggs along our trails , and each egg contains a clue to the answers on our scavenger hunt list . If you can find all the correct answers , you can earn a small prize ! No Easter baskets needed . This is an outdoor egg hunt , so be sure to dress for the weather . Meet at Firefly Shelter .
