PARK BOARD MEETINGS The Hendricks County Park Board generally meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2 p . m . in the main office although dates and times are subject to change ( see website for scheduling updates ). Meeting agendas are posted one week prior at the office and at the Hendricks County Government Center . The public is always welcome to attend Park Board meetings .

Gray treefrogs are masters of camouflage , and you may be surprised by how they survive the winter ! Assistant Naturalist Jordan Tremper photographed the gray treefrog on this issue ’ s cover at McCloud Nature Park . This fellow spent a good deal of the summer singing in the McCloud Nature Center drain pipe and was almost 2 inches long when she photographed him . Jordan shares her expertise on these super amphibians and their superpowers on page 21 , describing how they get through the cold months of winter , what they do when spring arrives , how they stay camouflaged , and much more .
