PARK BOARD MEETINGS The Hendricks County Park Board generally meets the first Wednesday of each month at 2 p . m . in the main office although dates and times are subject to change ( see website for scheduling updates ). Meeting agendas are posted one week prior at the office and at the Hendricks County Government Center . The public is always welcome to attend Park Board meetings .

Local photographer Traci Patterson captured this image of an orange sulfur butterfly ( Colias eurytheme ) at McCloud Nature Park . The orange sulphur is medium-sized with a wingspan of about 5 cm ( 2 in ). Though color may vary among individuals , the wings are typically yellowish and orange , although some females are white and may appear greenish . The top ( dorsal ) wing surface has dark brown to black edging . See if you can spot these beauties at our parks this summer ! Photo by Traci Patterson Photography .
