Turtle Snapshot Saturday , Aug . 12 • 2 p . m McCloud Nature Park
Join the naturalists and the Nature Center turtles for their Saturday Spa Day ! The program will include fun facts about turtles of McCloud Nature Park , selfies with a turtle , and a turtle care demonstration .

Archery : My Buddy & Me Saturday , Aug . 19 • 10 a . m . W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park
Try archery with your younger buddy ! Archery can build the confidence of young people , and it ’ s a great way to build a better connection with your buddy . One hour will be spent on developing your form in a safe manner without arrows . A bow string training aid will be provided so that you can continue to practice your form at home . The rest of the session will be spent practicing with bows and arrows . All equipment will be provided . Meet at Bluegill Shelter .
RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 9 THROUGH ADULT . CHILDREN MUST REGISTER AND ATTEND WITH A REGISTERED ADULT . THE MINIMUM AGE RECOMMENDATION IS DUE TO THE PHYSICAL STRENGTH NEEDED TO DRAW A BOW AND FOR THE CONCENTRATION AND MATURITY REQUIRED TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS . Are you interested in trying archery but don ’ t want to be in a class with a bunch of kids ? This introductory class is just for you ! Pollinator Party Saturday , Aug . 26 • 1-4 p . m . McCloud Nature Park
Join us in celebrating all pollinators ! Kids , decorate your own butterfly or bee wings and craft your own antennae to wear while you flit between the festival activities ! Visitors of all ages and all skills will enjoy the Pollinator Paint-Out ! Try your hand at guessing some of the products that pollinators gift us . Make wildflower seed balls to plant at home or launch into the McCloud prairie ! View the observation beehives , meet honeybees and beekeepers . Learn the importance of native wildflowers while enjoying the vibrant prairie ! Purchase some bee projects and enjoy food from local food vendors .
ALLERGY ALERT : as with any visit to the outdoors , it is possible to come into contact with live bees and / or other stinging insects .
