HUMMINGBIRD SWING Saturday , May 8 • 2 p . m . McCloud Nature Park
Twist wire , wood , and beads together to create a cute little perch for a cute little hummingbird to rest on . We ’ ll provide all the materials and tools needed , but feel free to bring your own wire-working tools if you ’ d like . If you ’ ve already got hummingbirds visiting your feeder , they will use a swing !
RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 6 THROUGH ADULT . CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST ATTEND WITH A PARENT OR GUARDIAN WHO IS ABLE TO REMAIN AT THE PROGRAM . FEE : $ 8 / PROJECT ( UP TO 2 PEOPLE PER PROJECT ) ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED BY MAY 4 . APPROXIMATION PROGRAM DURATION : 1 HOUR

Search the trails with a naturalist for the surest sign of spring : blooming wildflowers ! These short-lived spring ephemerals leaf out , bloom , and go to seed quickly , so spot them while you can ! Wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots . Feel free to bring your own wildflower field guide or borrow one of ours .
HIKING TERRAIN INFO : EASY TO MODERATE DIFFICULTY , GRAVEL AND NATURAL SURFACES , UP TO 2 MILES . RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 THROUGH ADULT .
