Tadpole Time

Young children are naturally curious! Encourage their curiosity through fun and interactive introductions to nature during our Tadpole Time programs! Each session will focus on a different topic and feature native animals, stories, crafts, nature exploration, and ideas for continuing exploration at home! These fall sessions will be offered at McCloud Nature Park and don’ t forget to dress for the weather as these sessions take place outside.

Recommended for children aged 2-5 years old accompanied by a parent or guardian( older siblings aged 6-7 are also welcome to register if they wish to participate). $ 5 / child. Advance Registration Required.
SCALES AND SCUTES! TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH • 10 A. M. TO 11 A. M. McCloud Nature Park They crawl and slither but don’ t be alarmed! We will get to learn all about our scaly friends: turtles and snakes. We’ ll read a book, do a craft, and meet some of our very own reptile
friends.
CREEPY CRITTERS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6TH • 10 A. M. TO 11 A. M.
McCloud Nature Park Opossums, raccoons, and snakes- oh my! We’ ll dive into learning all about these creepy critters and maybe realize they’ re not so creepy after all! We’ ll read a book, do a craft, and go on a hike to learn about where they live. Note: the hike portion of this program may be adapted into another activity in the case of poor weather conditions.
TURKEY TALK TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH • 10 A. M. TO 11 A. M. McCloud Nature Park Let’ s talk turkey- no really! We’ ll talk all about turkeys and what makes them so unique. We’ ll read a book, do a craft, and go on a hike to learn about where turkeys live. Note: the hike portion of this program may be adapted into another activity in the case of poor weather conditions.
