HOMESCHOOL ECOLOGY AT MCCLOUD NATURE PARK
Homeschool students are invited to join Hendricks County Park Naturalists for ecology lessons!
The Homeschool Ecology series provides hands-on, ageappropriate, interactive activities about ecology topics. These programs are designed to build on each other, but students may register for the lessons that interest them and fit their schedules.

Put your detective skills to use! We’ ll examine“ crime scenes” in different habitats to learn about what plants, insects and other things exist there. Participants will learn the basics of plant ID and try to identify and document their findings.

Have you ever wondered about what life was like before the invention of phones, the internet, and even electricity? Then join us for October’ s Homeschool Ecology program! We’ ll walk you through an average day in life at McCloud, including cooking over a fire, butter making, natural dyes, sewing, and more! Come learn about what life was like on the homestead.
Homeschool Ecology Series will not take place in November and December.
