PROGRAMS AT THE SENIOR CENTER
Hendricks County Parks & Recreation is teaming up with Hendricks County Senior Services to bring FREE programs to the Senior Center in Danville!
Join our naturalists at the Senior Center in Danville on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 12:30 to 1:30 p. m. for a FREE nature-themed program!
These programs take place during lunch at the Senior Center, and donations are accepted for lunch. The Senior Center partners with the Central Indiana Council on Aging( CICOA) to provide the meals. CICOA’ s paperwork must be completed upon your first visit. Lunch is prepared by Hendricks Regional Health Hospital. To make a lunch reservation, please call( 317) 910-5356 by 11 a. m. on the day before the program.
INVASIVE PLANTS CHAT
WEDNESDAY • SEPTEMBER 17 Curious about all the talk concerning invasive plants? Join us Sept. 17 at the Hendricks County Senior Center! We will discuss the negative impacts invasive plants have on our native species and ways to prevent them; all while playing a game of Bingo!
NOT SO SPOOKY: OPOSSUMS WEDNESDAY • OCTOBER 15 You hear a loud bump outside at night! Spooky! Now you start to hear hissing! Is it a vampire? Or a snake? Its …. an opossum!! Join our naturalist team on Oct. 15 at the Hendricks County Senior Center to learn about the only native North American marsupials. You may find these creatures are not as scary as they seem!
