Tadpole Time

Getting outside allows children to create , imagine , and enjoy the natural world . Tadpole Time provides an opportunity for you and your preschool aged child ( ren ) to do just that ! Participants will be encouraged to explore and be curious about native animals , habitats , and more . Each session will focus on a unique topic and will include various activities such as stories , art , movement , and play . Tadpole Time sessions will be held at W . S . Gibbs Memorial Park and McCloud Nature Park each month with identical topics , but the activities may be different between

What are those squirrelly creatures up to ? Come spend the morning playing and pretending as we learn all about these furry creatures and their friends , including us humans , as we work with seeds .
** NUT ALLERGY WARNING : Tadpole Time ‘ Squirreling Around ’ session will have various types of nuts present that children may touch . **

Things that go bump in the night ! Bats may go bump in the night , but they aren ’ t creatures that should keep you awake ! Come learn through movement about these nocturnal creatures , their unique abilities , and why we need them in and around our parks . parks . Dress for the weather as these sessions are outside . Recommended for ages 2-5 years old with parent / guardian ( older siblings ages 6-7 are welcome to register , as well , if they wish to participate )
Advanced registration required . Program duration is approximately 90 minutes .

Join us for a yapping good time as we imitate our furry friends using our senses to learn all about the foxes of Hendricks County . We ’ ll use our newly learned knowledge and skills to explore nature as we walk through the trees looking for clues that our foxy friends may have left behind !
This session includes approximately ½ mile walk on natural surfaces
