Cannabis Care Team

Partners with

Sunrise Dispensaries for Staff Training

“ For patients to be successful with cannabis , they need to have confidence in this plant .”

Cannabis Care Team and Sunrise Cannabis have partnered to complete Cannabis Care Team ( CCT ) dispensary staff training for its five locations in Missouri , including St Louis , Maryville , Clinton , Macon , and Kansas City . Their dispensary teams complete 40 hours of training , including the evidence-based CCT modules : How to Explain the Endocannabinoid System to Customers , Managing Symptoms with an Effective Plan that Utilizes both Short and Long Acting Methods of Delivery , and How to Avoid Giving Medical Advice .

CCT ’ s training incorporates nurses and what they ’ ve experienced or learned from cannabis consumers — new and experienced , from all over the nation . April Hatch , RN , MSN , and CCT Co-Founder , says , “ For patients to be successful with cannabis , they need to have confidence in this plant . We teach dispensary staff the science patients are desperate for , but also how to provide that science in a non-intimidating way .” CCT will train all five Sunrise locations as they prepare to open incrementally .

The St Louis location ’ s grand opening took place on Friday , August 27 . “ Sunrise ’ s license group is a vertically integrated company with a patient-centered focus , making them a perfect partner for CCT ’ s patient-centered Education Before Medication mantra ,” said Heidi Trout Mozingo , CCT Co-Founder .
Sunrise CEO Richard Gunnels is a Missouri farmer whose family has been cultivating in Macon for over a century and has plans to positively impact Missouri ’ s MJ program in the communities in which they operate .

“ We are so pleased to partner with Sunrise . With 192 dispensaries set to be operational by the end of the year , we believe that a positive patient experience with dispensary staff will heavily dictate which dispensaries will attract and retain repeat business and community engagement ,” said Hatch about the partnership . “ To partner with operators who also focus on bettering the community in which they serve is inspiring , and we ’ re looking forward to volunteering in the community alongside the Sunrise staff .”
